It also included a quote from the Croatian-born Furlan, who said, ‘I look at the stars. It’s a clear night and the Milky Way seems so close. This is where I will go soon … I am not afraid.
His quote concluded, “Let me close my eyes and perceive the beauty that surrounds me. And breathe under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe. Breathe. That’s all.”

The announcement of the death was accompanied by this photo of Furlan. She is survived by her husband, Serbian filmmaker Goran Gajić, and her son, Marko Lav Gajić.
Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski retweeted the post along with his own tribute to the star.
“It’s a very sad night, because our friend and colleague had gone down the road where we can’t get there,” he shared.
“But as with all things, we’ll get her back on time and I think she’ll have a lot of stories to tell us and a lot of new roles to share with the universe.”
