city Juárez- The Lires park in the Passejades de l’Alba subdivision has a drawing with the face of Mickey Mouse in its interior design, but the neighbors consider that having this image is not an exceptional thing, since this place lacks more children’s games , lighting and above all, police surveillance, as it is common for thefts to occur here to visitors.
Located at the junction of Passejades d’Alba and Lires streets, this park has only a few trees planted by local residents, has a sidewalk that is used for walking and piles of dirt that are used for acrobatics with bicycle, in addition to the iconic image of the Disney character, where parents take their youngest children home to play.
An image of this park was recently posted on the social network Facebook, in which the face of Mickey Mouse is highlighted, inviting the community to visit him, as they say that although it is not Disneyland, it is a option for followers of this mouse.
Lires Park is best known as the Hill Park, for the mounds of land that cover much of it and are used by boys to perform acrobatics by bike, says Imelda, a resident of this colony located south of the city.
“We all know that Mickey Mouse’s face is here, and this space is where the youngest children are always, but the park needs trees and children’s games,” says Cecília, who lives in front of this place.
“It’s been a long time since we’ve seen workers from the Municipality cleaning or doing something in the park, the few trees it has were planted by the same people here, and the park residents are in charge of watering them,” he said. dir Imelda.
The two women agree that the park is used by the inhabitants of the colony, especially in the mornings and afternoons, when they go for a walk or run around the place, as well as to use the few children’s games it has.
“People do take advantage of it, but they need trees and other types of plants, as it has only a few, and it also needs lighting and police surveillance, as people are often assaulted when they pass through this park completely. dark, ”Imelda points out.
Other residents of the area, such as Javier, who walked through the park yesterday, consider that the participation of all the settlers is necessary to give another image to this place, especially planting trees and installing the necessary lighting. , in addition to police surveillance for the safety of visitors.
