Missouri parents have chaotic parking dispute after voting on school board for mask warrant

Some Missouri parents have not reacted well to the news that their children will have to wear masks to school to help keep them safe and others. According to KMBC, the Tuesday night vote by the Pleasant Hill Board of Education to restore a mask mandate was immediately followed by a chaotic parking lot fight. A man was reportedly handcuffed after his parents began punching each other outside the building. The board voted unanimously to restore the mask’s mandate after an increase in cases; KMBC reported that more than 7% of the district’s population is currently in quarantine after being potentially exposed to the coronavirus. KMBC journalist Brian Johnson said there were “many screams” during the meeting, which caused chaos outside.
