Missouri woman accused of posing with Nancy Pelosi’s nameplate in the Capitol riot

Federal authorities have accused a Missouri woman of assaulting the U.S. Capitol and posing for President Nancy Pelosi’s plaque during the riot.

At least three informants identified Emily Hernandez, of Sullivan, Missouri, with the FBI as the woman seen in videos and photos with Pelosi’s wooden sign inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, according to a criminal complaint.

Apparently, Hernandez can be seen in an ITV News video wearing sunglasses and a gray winter hat while wearing the identification plate and surrounded by other supporters of President Trump, according to the complaint.

A tipster sent the FBI a photo from Hernandez’s Facebook page, which apparently showed he was inside the Capitol. A second informant shared a screenshot of Hernandez’s Snapchat that appeared to show her under the Capitol dome, according to the complaint.

Hernandez has not yet been arrested. He faces charges of illegal entry, engaging in disorderly or disturbing conduct and stealing federal property, the FBI said.

Authorities say more than 120 people have been arrested in connection with the Capitol riot, which killed five people, including a Capitol police officer.
