Mitchell Robinson injures his hand in Knicks victory over the Wizards

Mitchell Robinson had a massive first half on Friday night before suffering a fractured right hand at the end of the second quarter of the Knicks ’109-101 victory in Washington.

The team’s starting center will be re-evaluated Saturday in New York, the team said.

Robinson scored 10 points and 14 rebounds, the first double-double of his career before the break.

The third-year center has started each of the Knicks ’first 27 games, averaging 8.4 points and 8.4 boards per game.

Veteran senior men Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson would likely see increased playing time in Robinson’s absence.
