Sony’s San Diego Studio promised that February would bring new information on the subject MLB The Show 21, but a new leak seems to have hit them. Assuming this mockery proves to be true, it also confirms some very important information related to the series this year.
Posted on Instagram by user Anerdydad, the cover of MLB The Show 21 seems to have been revealed. While normally this wouldn’t be a major deal in itself, what makes it remarkable is that one of the boxed pieces that was released confirms that the game will hit Xbox platforms in 2021. This was something that we were expecting it this year, but San Diego Studio hadn’t confirmed it for themselves yet.
As for the cover art itself, MLB The Show 21 features Fernando Tatis Jr. of the San Diego Padres. Tatis Jr. is one of the young stars of Major League Baseball and had a breakout season in 2020. See him appear in art for MLB The Show 21 this year comes as no surprise, given his rapid rise to stardom over the past year.
What remains to be seen this year MLB The Show Advancing title is whether or not it will reach other platforms as well. Previously, it was said that Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game would come in the future along with an Xbox version. Given that this version of Xbox looks like it’s finally happening, it’s safe to assume that other platforms will also be launched side by side.
At the moment, we still have a lot to learn MLB The Show 21 but we should start hearing about it sooner. With February kicking off next week, there’s a decent show that San Diego Studio could start talking more about this year’s title in a few days.
