MLB umpire finds substance in Kevin Gausman Giants

A not so new controversy has been present in MLB baseball this Saturday, August 21 Kevin Gausman, pitcher for St. Francis Giants, was found with an improper substance during his mound work against Oakland Athletics. The umpire of the meeting became aware of this situation although he did not have the reaction that would have been expected.

The umpires of the MLB are doing their job to prevent the team’s serpentiners from using improper substances to improve their pitches during the matches.

And in the game between St. Francis Giants and Oakland Athletics this Saturday the man umpire, Phil Cuzzi, realized that Giants pitcher Kevin Gausman had something strange on his arm.

This caused the officer to ask the serpentinero to clean his arm before the start of the lower part of the second entrance of the encounter, as pitchers are not allowed to have resin on their uniforms or body. .

The story did not go beyond what has been mentioned and at the moment it looks like there will be no sanction or suspension for Kevin Gausman by Major League Baseball (MLB), but it will surely be in the spotlight.

I joined ‘A l’Bat’ in September 2020, starting a new stage of work to which I always seek to give my best version, as well as leaving a significant mark on the passage of women in an industry that is managed mainly by men. Lic. In Communication Sciences and Techniques from the Inter-American University for Development (UNIU), I specialize in sports journalism, copywriting and text editing, I have three years of experience covering sports, especially Mexican Baseball League (LMB) baseball , Mexican Pacific League (LMP) and MLB. I was passing through the LMB Yucatan Lions Baseball Club, with whom I attended the 2019 King’s Series. I’ve done work for social media as coverage of the 2019-2020 edition of the LMP Final for ‘ With Les Bases Llenas’. I find myself constantly updated on social media, SEO, Google positioning, copywriting, digital journalism, as well as the place of women in the sports industry. Originally from Mérida, Yucatán, my first approach to baseball was in a Yucatan Lions game, in the ‘Kukulcán Álamo’ Park, in 2015; and that changed my life completely. The ‘hairy’ are the team of my loves and the greatest passion I have in this sport. While I play baseball most of the time, my sport, in the beginning, was (and still is) football. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich won my heart and fans from the ‘minute one’ and I am fortunate to have already seen them play live. Clearly, I’m a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and Manuel Neuer.
