FORECAST SUMMARY
Track freezing rain and light snow this afternoon with the 69 Weather app. You will have an interactive radar, located at your location, on hand.

Even though only a handful of points get freezing rain this afternoon and tonight, take it seriously if you get it.
Freezing rain causes a glaze of ice and makes it dangerous to drive or walk.
The National Weather Service has a winter weather warning for counties that will see the most occasional freezing rain.
If you plan to go out this afternoon or evening regardless of your county, check out the 69 Weather Weather interactive radar app. If you see the pink color near you or look at you, I recommend that you reschedule your plans when it is not frozen.
This afternoon and evening, little snow will be in Poconos, north of Lehigh Valley (north of big cities) and north of Reading. The snow will be a little more than lining, but less than half an inch, for the spots that see it.
Occasional icy rain and snow end at 2 p.m.
On Sunday we are dry.
Then we continue on Monday afternoon with icy rain and sparse snow.
We will then have a brief break from ice formation at points and snow on Monday evening at rush hour.
After dinner, freezing rain will spread and everyone will see ice buildup on Monday night.
Tuesday morning there will still be ice cream during rush hour. Then the freezing rain changes to flat rain later in the morning as warmer air comes out from the south. The rain ends before Tuesday’s dinner. There will be no ice for Tuesday night’s ride.
We catch our breath on Wednesday with a sunny sky. Go out in the evening to see Mars next to the crescent moon.
NASA also lands on Mars on Thursday! As we speak, there is an all-terrain vehicle and a small helicopter with a drone. They have been on a six-month trip.
On Thursday we will see more icy rains in the afternoon and evening, which will cause icy spots during night trips. Then the freezing rain changes to normal rain early Thursday night, when warmer air from the south rises again. We will have light rain later Thursday night and Friday all day.
Next weekend is dry. We are sunny next Saturday and partially sunny next Sunday.
