It may seem crazy and inescapable, but there are plans to resettle the moon and, frankly, it looks pretty cool.
Here’s the thing. NASA has promised to send 2 astronauts – one man and one woman – to the moon by 2024. Studying the lunar colonization will use lunar objects to create structures in which astronauts can live and study the surface and atmosphere. .
The cylinders in the photo protect the astronauts from radiation and below the zero temps. They are built with regolith, which is a fancy word for lunar dirt. Scientists believe that regolith can be used to make bricks, which harden under the heat of the sun.

As for the air to breathe … there is ice in the abyss where the colony sits, which contains oxygen and hydrogen.
Scientists call the colony the “Moon Village.” NASA is considering using the moon as a home base to launch astronauts to Mars … early next decade.
None of this can be achieved without power … but solar panels that reflect the sun’s heat will do the trick.

It’s a brave, new, out of this world.
