More counties in the United States move to very high levels of COVID-19 activity

MADISON, Wisconsin (WMTV) – On Thursday, more Wisconsin counties are entering very high levels of COVID-19 disease activity.

He The Department of Health Services was noted Thursday, that 34 counties are now at very high levels, up from 12 last week.

Dodge, Green Lake and Adams counties are among those in central Wisconsin that have fallen into this category. To date, most of central downtown Wisconsin still has high levels of disease activity.

The state itself has also moved to very high disease activity, showing a case load of 373 per 100,000.

Thursday marks another day where the daily number of COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin exceeded 2,000.

Health officials added 2,043 to the state’s COVID-19 control panel, bringing the total number of cases to 653,362.

With these new cases, the Wisconsin State Hygiene Laboratory also identified new Delta variant cases since Tuesday. The agency’s dashboard shows 2,276 Delta cases of COVID-19 cases tested, compared to 1,964 on Tuesday.

Eleven people have died from COVID-19, DHS adds on Thursday.

Dane Co. approaches 70% completely vaccinated

Dane County is approaching 70% on Thursday to have 7 out of ten of its residents with a full range of vaccines against COVID-19. Currently, residents of Dane Co. are at 1% of this milestone.

Overall, in the state, 54.2% of Wisconsinites have received at least the first vaccine against COVID-19 and 51% have completed their series of vaccines against COVID-19.

So far this week, 30,412 doses have been administered to residents, compared to 18,738 the day before.
