More rain waves were expected on Sunday, few strong storms possible

ORLANDO, Fla. – The unstable pattern will continue to close over the weekend and through Monday. The heaviest rains and storms will be along and northwest of I-4 through Saturday evening. Some storms could be strong. The highest likelihood of severe storms will be along a stagnant, draped front in northern Marion and Flagler counties.

The danger of wind, heavy rain and lightning will be the main threats. A brief tornado can also be made in the strongest storms.

Another opportunity for strong storms arrives Monday with another system pushing the southeastern U.S.. The biggest severe threat will be northwest of I-4 Monday for yellow-shaded areas.
