DENVER (CBS4) – The driver suspected of the run-over death of 3-year-old Lyndreth Sage Antone on New Year’s Eve appeared virtually Saturday in court.

Jordan Montiel-Vazquez appeared before a judge by video conference in Denver District Court after being arrested Thursday for investigating the exit from the scene of a fatal accident.

Police responded to the scene on South Lowell Boulevard and Morrison Road around 6:35 p.m. Thursday. Investigators said Montiel-Vázquez, 23, left the scene but was later detained at a home in Aurora.

Montiel-Vázquez remains in custody, but the judge granted him a $ 10,000 personal recognition bail, meaning he could be released from prison.
