Mossimo Giannulli is a free man.
According to federal prison records obtained by TMZ, 57-year-old Giannulli has been released from prison by RRM Long Beach, a “residential re-entry camp management office that oversees inmates returning to public life.”
RRM facilities regulate inmates who stay halfway home, but it is not a halfway house. Interns released on internment must also check-in at the facility by the actual release date. Mossimo’s falls on April 17th.
It is believed Giannulli could have resided in a nearby halfway house, or could even have gone home to serve the last two weeks of his five-month sentence.
In January, a judge denied his request for early release. At the time, he tried to argue in court papers that he had spent so much time in solitary confinement and quarantine in the midst of COVID-19, it was as if he had endured all the punishment.
The designer was sentenced in August for his role in bribing his daughters’ entry into college, alongside the woman, “Full House” TV star Lori Loughlin, 56. The couple pleaded guilty in May to paying $ 500,000 to get their two daughters, 22- Isabella Giannulli, 20, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 21, accepted to the University of Southern California as crew all and not be rowers.
He was also ordered to pay a $ 250,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.
Loughlin spent two months behind bars before leaving in December.
