New year, new games, baybeee! It will be an interesting year, as we see Playstation 4 and Xbox One fade towards dusk and hopefully the new generation rises in prominence. Right now there aren’t an incredible amount of next-generation exclusives (current-gen?), But 2021 seems to be tackling it with some potential dangers.
Just because I don’t have a PS5 yet doesn’t mean I can’t advertise the games I can or can’t play, console availability always
Halo: infinity
I should preface it by saying that while I’m planning this game, it’s more suspicious: “Boy, I hope this game doesn’t sink.” I loved it Hello series since he was little. It was in many ways the series I grew up with. What Mario and all these 16-bit bakers destined for the generation before me, that’s what I feel Hello. He introduced me to first-person shooting, military science fiction and online gaming. All of these things I still love today.
So you can imagine he felt somehow when Halo 5: Guardians just up he didn’t touch. He is the only one Hello game I haven’t played yet. I know I wasn’t alone in thinking this like Halo 5 it had essentially zero staying power after its release.
I’m waiting Infinity rights of the ship and again gives some respect to the Hello first name. Given the prolonged development of the game, disappointing display at the Xbox Series X event last summer and yeara long delay that resulted from this demonstration, it seems a bit doubtful if the game will. You may be wondering why, given all the issues and warnings, why is it on my list?
G / O Media may receive a commission
Well, I just like it Hello, all.
The possibility of a good Hello the game will always be something I anticipate. Also, considering this is the franchise’s twentieth anniversary, I’m really rooting for the 343 Industries team to be able to go ahead and deliver a good quality space shooter.
GTA VI …just wrapping it up, we know it will never come out. Do you know, however, what game it will probably be?
Final Fantasy XVI
If you have been reading any of the articles on games at The root, then this entry really shouldn’t come as a surprise.
What can I say? I’m anime junk and I have that shit. Not much has been revealed about what kind of game Final Fantasy XVI it actually is, but if I were a gambler, I’d say it seems to be the third massive multiplayer online game in the franchise, FF XI i FF XIV: A Realm Reborn (If anyone enters the comments talking about “Well, actually Final Fantasy XIV technically it was the second- “in all the saint I’ll slap you. We don’t recognize this game in this space.)
The trailer released during last summer’s PS5 event promised a large-scale epic, with an artistic style reminiscent of FF XIV: A Realm Reborn, and the game even sharing the same director. A superficial look at official site of the game it also gives the idea that the game will be a multi-faction MMO.
Although I enjoyed what I played FF XIV: A Realm Reborn, there was so much content that, the moment I could play it, I felt like I could never keep up. Either an MMO or a hotlineforward role-playing game, I’m looking forward to diving into the world of Valisthea later this year.
Deathloop
As soon as I saw the trailer for this game, I knew it was there. It basically has everything I ask for in a game. Unique game mechanics? To check. An art style that catches the eye and doesn’t let go? To check. A developer with a background in making bakers? Check, check and check. Oh i do you have a black protagonist? Shietttt, nigga, you don’t have to tell me twice.
Deathloop makes you a hitman who finds himself trapped in a loop of time on a mysterious island. You must kill eight targets along a loop or the loop will be restored. The game also features a multiplayer component that puts another player in control of an assassin who wants to protect the loop and is assigned to kill you to prevent the player from breaking it.
Developer Arkane Studios has killed him in recent years with Dams and the Disgraced series, so I’m very curious to see where this title goes.
Even though it’s only three games, the list goes on. Honorable mentions are made Horizon: Forbidden West, No More Heroes III, i Shin Megami Tensei 5. Are there any games you look forward to that you may have missed? Let them down. As long as they don’t lag behind, in 2021 it looks like they may have some bakers on hand …and I, for one, cannot wait.
