A mother-son duo has been charged with conspiracy following the Capitol riots on Jan. 6, according to a legal record Saturday.
Lisa Eisenhart and her son Eric Muchel are accused of “knowingly and intentionally conspiring with known and unknown persons” to “obstruct or impede” police officers, according to the file filed in the U.S. District Court by in the District of Columbia.

Munchel, who is allegedly the masked man photographed carrying a handful of plastic handcuffs around the Senate chamber, was pre-loaded with illegal entry and violent entry into the Capitol grounds.
At Saturday’s presentation, according to authorities, video footage from inside the Capitol shows Eisenhart and Munchel “on the edge of a crowd of individuals who are physically attacking two Capitol police officers guarding the entrance to the Senate Chamber ”
The mother-son duo appear to be joining the chase and are seen both holding flexible fists in their hands as they chase them. Both officers eventually escaped to a lower level of the building, and then Eisenhart appears to shout at the officers as he leaned on a railing.
Munchel and Eisenhart appear to have entered the Senate chamber through the same area as the officers.
The affidavit also points to an article in The Times newspaper published Jan. 10 about the riots.
Eisenhart tells the newspaper that two had entered the Capitol as “observers,” but also told him at the exit, “This country was founded on revolution… I would rather a 57-year-old woman die than live under oppression. I’d rather die and I’d rather fight. “
The arrests come as federal law enforcement continues its efforts to track down and prosecute people related to riots that eventually resulted in five deaths, including two Capitol police officers.
Dozens have been arrested in connection with the January 6 riots and several people have lost their jobs.
The Department of Justice has said above his sedition for buildings and conspiracy charges against some of the alleged riot police.
