MX League: Mikel Arriola issues an emergency statement to the 18 teams

At the meeting, the MX League reported that 5,200 antigen tests will be made available to the 18 clubs, in order to strengthen health control.

Arriola warned MX League clubs that the next six weeks will be critical in the pandemic affecting the country, so he invited them to redouble their care so as not to have to postpone more matches in the 2021 Clause.

In addition, the president denied that the clubs and the MX League itself have agreed to relax the application of tests for virus detection.

The executive president of the BBVA MX LEAGUE, Mikel Arriola, called on the sporting directors of all the Clubs to strengthen the health protocol and redouble their vigilance to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

He called to monitor the symptoms in detail, to take care of the transfer of the home to the different training facilities, concentration hotels, as well as to maintain a healthy distance during the different trips, both of the first teams and of basic forces; in addition to facilitating the telework of the different areas that integrate in each Club.

On the other hand, it was reaffirmed that the scheduling of the application of PCR tests is carried out on the basis of the protocol approved by the Medical Committee of the BBVA MX LEAGUE and presented with opportunity to the Clubs. It should be remembered that at the moment about 25 thousand PCR examinations have been done between all divisions.

The health and medical protocols applied to the BBVA MX LEAGUE, approved by the Ministry of Health, are constantly reviewed and updated, as a sign of its commitment to the integrity of the members of the institutions.

According to specialists, the incubation period of Covid-19 is 2 to 7 days so the detection of the disease may not be immediate. In this way, a footballer could give a negative, play his game, while he is developing the disease.
