My Morning Jacket announces a new album, shares the video for the new song: Look

My Morning Jacket have announced a new self-titled album: My morning jacket comes out on October 22 via ATO. The band has also shared a track of the project and revealed the art of Robert Beatty’s album. Watch the “Regularly Scheduled Scheduling” video, co-directed by Jim James and George Mays, below.

“This song is really good for me after what we went through with the pandemic,” James said about the new song in a statement. “But even before, it seemed to us that so many of us traded real life with social media, we changed our own stories for the stories of television, we changed our consciousness for drugs. We need to help each other wake up with real love before it’s too late. ”

Last year My Morning Jacket came out The waterfall II, his first album in five years and accompanist of 2015 The waterfall. They plan to tour the United States, starting in North Carolina, in late August, accompanied by Brittany Howard, Flock of Dimes, Durand Jones & the Indications and Bedouine at various stops.
