NBA: LeBron James celebrates the scoring milestone on his 36th birthday

Not only did he get the top score for the Los Angeles Lakers in a 121-107 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, but his 26 points marked another milestone for James.
He has now played 1,000 consecutive games with a personal score of 10 points or more. The last time he scored a single digit was on January 5, 2007, when he scored eight points against the Milwaukee Bucks.

James overtook Michael Jordan in March 2018 to place number one on the all-time list with 867 consecutive games of at least 10 points.

Speaking after the match, James shook his head in disbelief at having reached the milestone.

“I just go out and try to get ready and be the best every night when I step on the ground,” he said

Lakers striker Anthony Davis also shook his head in surprise at James ’streak of goals.

“It’s good, because we know we’re able to form a team and build our schemes around it,” Davis said. “It’s good when you have a consistent player and it makes our job a lot easier.”

According to James, food and good wine were on the menu to end his birthday celebrations.

“I just got back to the hotel. I have some wine waiting for me,” he said. “My classmates will probably stop by or there will be a dining room where we will have meetings so we can stop there and watch TV, drink a good wine and even have some tequila tonight.”

James also referred to the tequila brand, which he invested earlier this year.
