It was the game everyone wanted to watch, but the absences of key players made it one more game. The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets faced off on Saturday night in the NBA, without the presence of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and James Harden. Each of them was due to different injuries.
The first quarter found the Lakers with a fierce start, which led to putting them 11 points up in the first minutes, thanks to the partial 18-7. Andre Drummond, as had happened against the Miami Heat, was instrumental in the start of the encounter with 7 units in this passage of the game, in what ended up being a victory in the 33-25 quarter.
The California franchise started the second quarter with the same intensity as the first and they stretched the difference to 10 points: 43-33. However, the power of the Nets appeared in their splendor with a 17-3 lead that led them to a 56-52 partial lead. The Lakers managed to recover again and went 61-58 in the half.
The Angels took advantage of the expulsion of Kyrie Irving and now Kevin Durant did not have his two main slopes: Harden, injured, and the aforementioned Irving. The context was greatly exploited by Los Angeles Lakers, who ended up winning with a final score of 126-101.
Dennis Schröder and Kyrie Irving were expelled
In the second half a strange situation was experienced, since Dennis Schröder and Kyrie Irving were expelled. Considering the images, the two players were insulted without any physical altercation, in what was a somewhat excessive decision by the judges.
