A winter weather warning from the triangle to the north and west went into effect Saturday night and will continue until noon on Sunday.
Saturday night through Sunday, snow showers began in the areas north of the Triangle, but nothing like that the snow that fell a couple of days ago.

A light winter mix can be made in the early hours of the morning from the triangle to the north from 7 am to 9 am, causing sleet, snow or freezing rain. Then it should change to rain. There could be ice accumulation of up to 0.25 “north and west of I-85 and travel to these areas should be avoided if possible tomorrow morning. In areas south of the triangle there will be freezing rainfall.
While the effect on the triangle should be minimal, freezing rain could cause some slippery spots on the roads, as temperatures hover around freezing temperatures.
