The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services will provide an update on the state’s COVID-19 vaccine supply Tuesday.
No ad-specific time has been posted.
The update will come when eligible groups who have not received the first dose express frustration and as clinics struggle to meet demands.

On Monday, the Orange County Health Department said its clinic has run out of first doses and it is unclear when they will get more out of state. Orange County sent a warning saying that until supply increases significantly, it could be weeks or even months before everyone in Phases 1 and 2 gets vaccinated.

In Cumberland County and Lee County, clinics are open primarily to those receiving their second dose of vaccine.
Other counties, including Wake, received fewer vaccines than expected this week and, as a result, are slowing down the vaccination process by appointment only.
In Durham, county leaders are preparing to add a new mass vaccination site to the distribution process, which would have the capacity to vaccinate about 45,000 people a week.
Mass vaccination sites have already been set up in other parts of the state, including Charlotte and Greenville.
