The president called for the chancelleries of Panama and Colombia to increase the number of permits for migration because at present only 500 people are allowed to travel daily from Antioquia and Chocó to the neighboring country.

“The situation will be complicated because between 800 and 1,200 migrants are arriving in the municipality every day,” he said.
