SNK has published Color selection Neo Geo Pocket Vol. 1 and Nintendo Switch. The retro collection is now available for download from Nintendo’s online store for about $ 40, which is less than it would cost you if you collected them today in their original form.
The compilation brings together great titles from the hand of SNK, excellent but unfortunate from the early 2000s. The package includes those previously released Samurai Shodown! 2, King of Fighters R-2, SNK Gals’ Fighters, Fatal Fury: First Contact, The last leaf: beyond destiny, and the bright SNK vs. Capcom: Millennium Match. The novelties of this collection are the nice golf simulator Great Golf Tournament, Role play Dark Arms: Beast Buster, and both Metal Slug: 1st mission i Metal Slug: 2nd mission.
Color selection Neo Geo Pocket Vol. 1 includes 3D models of the original of each game packaging and cartridge, and players also have the option to display Neo Geo Pocket titles with their original monochrome images. I’m very happy to see all of these games archived for future generations, given the growing rarity of some of the versions.
While the NGPC console certainly didn’t play much i little bought at launch, it’s encouraging to see these great games come back for a well-deserved time in the spotlight. Good material.
