You may not know that Rowan Atkinson wanted to fight a bee in a prosperous mansion filled with valuable, fragile materials, but Netflix UK is one step ahead of you. According to Hollywood Reporter, Man vs. Bee One of seven new series commissioned by Streamer from British creators, it will be written and produced in the UK next year.
The other six series include Baby deer, Based on actor Richard Godz’s 2019 Edinburgh Fringe One Man play, based on the actor’s “distracted relationship with his female hunter, and the impact it will have on him as he is forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.” Director Sam Mendes, meanwhile, will be executive-producing Red zone, A 30-minute joke that this is “about football, but not about football,” in addition, across the pool we call football here.
As for other shows commissioned by Netflix in the UK, there is a lot to look forward to for fans of unnatural fantasy and murder mysteries. Crane song, Based on the 2014 YA novel by author Frances Harding of the same name, “Two warring sisters – a man and a demon – must unite to drastically reverse a psychic pact and repair the family affected by their tragedy. ”
Series Half-bad, Written by Joe Barton and produced by Andy Serkis, will focus on “16-year-old Nathan” who, unfortunately, is “the illegitimate son of the world’s most feared witch.” The show is based on author Sally Green’s YA trilogy.
In the meantime, Lockwood & Co., To write and to run Hit the blockBased on the Joe Cornish, Jonathan Straud YA book series. The show begins with an unnatural start for three teenagers in London, where, as we all know, “the most talented teenage ghost-hunters engage in a dangerous battle with deadly spirits at night.”
Finally, from creator Sophie Betsall, Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hortcostlin, Based on the 2018 novel by author Stuart Durton, offers a unique twist on your average British murder mystery. “Based on a vast country garden, this high-concept thriller presents an intriguing conundrum,” the show’s description says. “Every time you approach the answer, how do you judge a murder when you wake up in someone else’s body?” I believe this murder did not take place in the same garden where Rowan Atkinson was fighting with that bee, otherwise they would never have paid enough attention to the case.
