In case you forgot, there is a new Pokémon MOBA in the works Pokémon Unite which is expected to hit Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in the future. While The Pokemon Company hasn’t said much about this new game since it first revealed it in 2020, it looks like we’ll receive a lot of new information soon.
The reason for this belief comes from the fact that a new video game was created for Pokémon Unite has recently found its way to YouTube. The video, which just uploaded today and can be found below, features an entire game that starts on the initial Pokémon selection screen to the post-game lobby and the main menu that accompanies it. The images we see are centered around a player who controls Charizard, but other Pokémon such as Slowbro, Absol, Snorlax and Lucario also appear.
If you’re wondering what this game was like in the first place, Pokémon Unite it is currently going through a closed beta phase. The only downside is that this beta is only available in China right now. The text of the game video game probably gave it away if you already saw it for yourself. At the moment, there are no plans to bring this same beta to other regions, but that could change in the future.
The advantage of this whole situation is that for Pokémon Unite having a beta version means that a formal version could arrive sooner than we think. In all likelihood, the game will experience additional beta phases in other regions of the world in the coming months before being released later. While this is by no means a guarantee, other multiplayer games, especially those made for mobile, tend to follow this pattern.
Of course, if revelations are made Pokémon Unite in the near future we will obviously keep you updated here on ComicBook.com. Until then, you can follow all our coverage of the game in the future right here.
