It sounds like 2021 with celebratory events across Door County. With live music, polar bear diving, nature excursions and more, there are many, many ways to welcome the new year to the peninsula.
Northern Sky’s Gould Theater, Fish Creek

Gather at the Algoma Public Library to celebrate a family celebration. There will be music, games, dancing, light refreshments and more. Plus, there will even be a ball drop at noon!

Welcome 2021 with an evening to remember. It starts at the pub at 4 p.m .; then enjoy an inspired buffet dinner and evening snacks. Lakeside Park, Jacksonport
The Jacksonport Polar Bear Club invites swimmers and spectators to Jacksonport every New Year’s Day to cool off in the icy waters of Lake Michigan, as the club has done since 1986. They are expected to take the next step. of 500 swimmers. swim among the greatest in the nation. Registration and festivities will begin at Lakeside Park at 10:30 a.m., with the quick dive at 12 p.m. All swimmers are asked to sign a disclaimer form before participating. If more exercise is one of your 2021 resolutions, take the easy 1.2-mile loop on the ferns route. Gather in the parking lot 3. Take canes, canes, snowshoes or Yak tracks if conditions warrant. Peninsula State Park, Fish Creek
A family trip of 1 to 3 miles run by Friends of Peninsula State Park, followed by hot chocolate and cookies at the warming shelter. Participants are advised to bring a bottle of water, binoculars and field guide and to dress for the weather, with hiking boots or snowshoes. A sticker is required for the state park vehicle. Pets are not allowed. Meet at the heating shelter on Highland Road, parking available on lot 5.
Egg Harbor Village
The New Year’s parade, which begins at 1 pm, begins its 41st year and is open to anyone who can join. The formation of the parade will begin at Stella Maris Parish, 7710 Hwy 42, in the center of Egg Harbor. It will then head north along Egg Harbor on Highway 42 from Harbor School Road to E County. Parking is available on Church Street. No formal registration is required. Dress up in great costumes; bring pets; and decorate a car, an old motorcycle or any other heavy building material.
