David Beckham has lost the knight title once again despite reports suggesting he would have increased his chances of reaching the New Year’s honor roll.
However, the honors were announced last night and Beckham’s name was again absent.
The 44-year-old former footie star was disowned two years ago amid a check on his investments in a tax evasion scheme.
It has been suggested that the star paid taxes of £ 12.7 million last year, making him and his wife the top 50 taxpayers in the country.
Many stated that this would have helped him go one step further to become Sir Becks, with the Sunday Times reporting: “Perhaps you increase the chance that one day we will see Sir Golden Balls and Lady Posh.”
The bookies also predicted he would finally get his hands on the cavalry this year.
Speaking before the announcement, a William Hill spokesman explained: “It is well documented that David Beckham is very interested in the idea of being a gentleman.

“He will be on the phone waiting for the call for the next two days.”
The second disagreement comes three years after the leaked emails revealed how much Beckham was desperately waiting to be knighted.
The former Manchester United star was furious after being wasted in 2013 and wrote a series of angry confusions to her public relations man Simon Oliveira.
In the notes, it was suggested that Becks felt his work in solidarity and that helping bring the Olympics to London should have made him a shoo-in for the gong.

When the honor committee exploded, Beckham, who won an OBE in 2003, wrote: “I was expecting nothing less.
“Honestly, it’s a disgrace and if I were American I would have something like that ten years ago.”
He was also alleged to have written, “unless he is a gentleman, he fails.”
