It is expected to impact the three-state area from Sunday evening and through early Tuesday, the long-term winter storm is expected to produce 6 “-12” in parts of the area, even in the New York City, which could see up to 10 inches.

The National Weather Service has already issued a winter storm warning for much of the area overnight from Sunday to Monday night.
Sunday will be cold with rising and thickening clouds, as highs will remain in the 1920s.
The snow will hold until Sunday evening after 6 or 7, reaching from southwest to northeast and accumulating 1 “-3” overnight as it becomes a breeze.
On Monday during the day, the weight of the snow is expected to be noticed, as well as winds of 40-50 mph.

Roads will become snowy and slippery as temperatures drop in the mid-twenties.
Sewer can sometimes mix, mostly along the coast, keeping accumulations south and east of New York City. The mix can limit the total snow to the south and east of the city.
In northern Jersey, residents can see more than 12 inches.
Strong wind gusts are possible, mainly along the coast and across Long Island.
Temperatures can shift just above the freezing temperature in the city.
The storm leaves slowly on Tuesday, but will continue to be rainy and cold with persistent snow showers and showers.
Additional significant build-up is not likely to occur during Tuesday, but flakes will sometimes continue to fly.
