The legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild turned four last week, but that doesn’t mean fans of the game are about to find new secrets.
A newly discovered problem called “Collision Overload” has been discovered, which allows players to walk underwater almost wherever they want and avoid all enemy attacks. It works by causing Link’s collision detection to go wrong, which means Guardians, Lynels, and the like just can’t touch you with their attacks; on the contrary, you can’t damage them either.
Unfortunately, eliminating the problem is not easy. As Gaming Reinvented explains in the video below, you’ll need several multi-track loops and shock arrows to get started, and then you’ll need to follow the steps shown very carefully. There are weapon synchronicity tricks to perform, and you’ll have to go ahead and throw those weapons into the water hundreds of times before the error takes effect. We told you it was complicated …
Once you’ve done that, though, you’ll be able to post fantastic posts on social media like this. Lynels are nothing, right?
We’ve come across a lot of bugs like this in the last few months, so be sure to check them out if you want more. In the meantime, let us know if you’ve ever tried to pull something like the game out with a comment below.
