Neymar leaves Rio de Janeiro and his consultancy denies party organization

RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazilian Neymar left his mansion on the coast of Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday and traveled to another spa, while his adviser denied that the French Paris Saint Germain (PSG) striker is organizing a controversial and crowded New Year’s party despite the Covid pandemic.

Neymar left his beach house in Mangaratiba, a spa on the south coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro where he spent a few days off and where he is supposed to organize a party that has given him much criticism, and traveled in Camboriú, a famous spa in the south of Brazil and where he also resides.

To make it clear that he was not in Mangaratiba, the striker of the Brazilian team posted on his Instagram account a photo in which he appears on a yacht next to a friend in front of the beach Caixa D’Aço, in the south state of Santa Catarina and close to Camboriú.

His trip coincided with the publication of a message in which his press office denies that the footballer is organizing the controversial party of which the press has been reporting for several days.

“Neymar Jr. will not be promoting any party this year. We are in the middle of a pandemic and he is with his friends and family and they are going to celebrate the new year among them,” Day Crespo said in a social media post.

Neymar’s trip to southern Brazil coincided with the prosecutor’s decision to demand explanations from the player about the alleged multi-day party for 150 guests he would be promoting in Mangaratiba despite all the restrictions imposed by health authorities for the covid pandemic.

The prosecution also demanded explanations from the administrations of the condominium in which Neymar has his mansion and the condominium in which he would have rented another residence to promote the party.

The event promotion agency Fàbrica, designated as the party’s organizer, released a statement on Monday to give some details of an event it is organizing in Mangaratiba with 150 guests in which it clarified that it will comply with all health protocols demanded, but in which he did not cite the name of the footballer.

The party, according to press releases, would be animated by renowned singers such as Alexandre Pires, MC Kevinho and the group jeito Moleque.

Neymar’s alleged New Year’s Eve party caused controversy in Brazil, one of the countries hardest hit by the health emergency.
