Earlier this month, Pokémon GO Developer Niantic announced that it would convene a special “working group” to address players ’concerns raised about interaction distance.
In its latest message via social media, Niantic has shared brief information about the situation. Although the working group’s plans are still scheduled for September 1, the team has decided to act and change the PokéStop and Gym interaction distance from 40 to 80 meters.
In a follow-up tweet, the company acknowledged how the gaming and gaming community had been heard, with more information to share next week.
The purpose of the working group, as explained above, is to develop proposals designed to preserve the game’s mission of inspiring people to explore the world together, while addressing concerns about distance interaction.
So here you have it: the interaction distance of 80 meters is back. What do you think about these changes? Tell us below.
