The Nintendo Switch seems to receive the port of a relatively popular action RPG over the next month. The information comes from Nintendo’s official website, although its developer or publisher has not yet confirmed the game’s announcement.
The specific game mentioned that could come to Switch is that of Kingdom Come: Liberation. The title was developed by Warhorse Studios and first released on consoles and PCs in 2018, but has yet to hit Switch since. The way Kingdom Come leaked by Switch was made through Nintendo’s Japanese website showing the game as a launch on the platform next month on February 18, 2021
The list of Kingdom Come: Liberation However, Nintendo’s site is a bit quirky in an important aspect. The game is specifically known as the Royal Edition, which is a version of the game that has not reached other platforms. There is a possibility that this is just the specific name of this port in Switch, but it remains to be seen.
One thing that is also important to keep in mind with this potential version is that assuming it is real, it may not be a direct port. Some have mentioned this because of Kingdom Come working with CryEngine, it may be a little harder to port to Switch than other games would. However, in the past Nintendo has started giving users the option to play games through the cloud instead of downloading them natively to the hardware. An example of this is specifically with Control which was released on Switch last year but could only be played through the cloud. Yes Kingdom Come proved to be a difficult game to bring to the platform, Warhorse could choose to follow this route.
Viously, obviously Kingdom Come: Liberation will arrive on Switch next month, imagine we’ll know about its existence soon. If more announcements are made about this new iteration of the game, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on ComicBook.com.
