No case against previous crimes made us commit rape, according to Mysuru gang rape defendants

Shocking details are being produced in the investigation of the Mysuru gang rape case. Defendants, according to police sources, have told them that they were encouraged by the fact that after committing crimes, including harassment in Mysuru, the victims never filed any complaint against them.

The mass rape that took place on August 24 in Mysuru reached the national headlines. The defendant dragged a college girl while she was with her friend to an isolated spot near the foothills of Chamundi. They attacked her friend and demanded a 3 lakh ransom. Police arrested five Tamil Nadu defendants, including a minor, on Saturday (August 28th) and are investigating the crime. The victim, who came to study from Maharashtra, has not registered her statement as she is still suffering from mental trauma.

However, the defendant’s free movement could be stopped after a woman who lost her cell phone filed a complaint two years ago, sources said.

Sources also said the detection of the criminals was possible as one of their victims had filed a miscellaneous complaint for theft with mobile phones. The woman has asked police to recover the SIM card. In the complaint, he had mentioned that he did not want the phone to be too old, the sources add.

Following the collective rape case, investigators have gathered all the information of the burglary cases in the city and matching details. One of the defendants was using his mobile phone and was located when there was an IMEI number in the police, sources said.

According to police sources, one of the accused rapists was jailed for the murder of the father of a girl he loved in Tamil Nadu. The investigating team is expected to bring the accused rapists to the crime scene to conduct a timely investigation on Monday. Research continues.
