Nomad today announced the launch of the Magnetically Aligned Base Station Mini, a small single-device charger designed for Apple’s iPhone 12 models.

The Base Station Mini with magnetic alignment features the same design as the original Base Station Mini, but also includes built-in magnets that allow it to align more easily with MagSafe devices. This is not an official SMagSafe accessory because the agMagSafe charging components have to be supplied to Apple and Apple has been slow to get the hardware to third party companies.
Because it doesn’t use agMagSafe, the new Base Station Mini will charge a iphone 12 (and previous iPhones) to a maximum of 7.5W, but it’s a 15W charger so you can charge Android smartphones with Qi faster . It is also compatible with AirPods and other Qi-based devices.
A USB-C cable is included to charge it and there is a built-in light sensor that dims at night, making it ideal for use on a nightstand.
