Jim Carrey on Wednesday continued to pay tribute to his Canadian friend and compatriot Norm Macdonald with a video showing a joke shot years ago.
He Saturday night live a veteran died Tuesday after a long, secret battle with cancer. He was 61 years old. His death shocked and devastated friends and fans. Carrey was one of those who lamented through social media.
“My dear friend Norm Macdonald passed away after a brave ten-year battle. It was one of our most prized gems. An honest and brave comedy genius. I love him, ”Carrey said via Twitter after the news of Macdonald’s passing occurred.
On Wednesday, Carrey shared a video of a joke that played Macdonald in 1999 while Carrey was working Man on the Moon, the biopic about the legendary Andy Kaufman.
In the video, Macdonald arrives at the Universal Studios plot for lunch with Carrey, who was ready to be on the porch of the house used in Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film. Psycho.
“During the filming of Man on the Moon, Norm Macdonald came to join me as Andy Kauffman for lunch on the royal porch of the Psycho at Universal and was scared by another famous Norman … Long live Norm Macdonald! ”Carrey wrote along with the video.
The result is a frightening leap that Macdonald did not fully suspect.
