When Notre Dame center Jared Patterson went down with a leg injury at the Boston College game, Irish fans everywhere were curious to know what it meant to be operating as the country’s best offensive line division.
So far this does not mean anything harmful. The Irish have averaged 38 points per game in both matches, but the task is considerably more difficult from here on out. Clemson and Games have been sitting between Notre Dame and its first national championship since 1988 against two elite projects.
However, Patterson’s departure has left a question mark in the center, however, neither Geek Corel nor Josh Luck are sure to start on Saturday.
When Brian Kelly was asked who would take the ball to Notre Dame at the ACC Championship, Kelly did not seem to have an answer.
“The match (between Coral and Luck) will be the end of a game time,” Kelly said.

Corel is handling a modified ankle, but Kelly said it was approaching 100%.
However, Kelly did not promise to get a start against Clemson.
Tommy Kramer, who was called up for duty against Syracuse in what Brian Kelly called an “emergency situation” until senior day, has returned to 100% and will go against Clemson.
