I don’t play Rainbow Six Siege, but Ubisoft’s recent collaboration with Ikumi Nakamura could change its mind.

Nakamura, the creative director who won the heart of the gaming world with her energetic GhostWire: Tokyo presentation at E3 2019, has jumped through the industry as an independent since leaving ZeniMax Media subsidiary Tango Gameworks later that same year. His latest concert is with Ubisoft, specifically to design a couple of spooky operatorsiforms for Rainbow Six Siege. Like Nakamura herself, they rule absolutely.

These uniforms, which can be purchased now, also equip operators Echo and Dokkaebi with matching skins and weapon charms. After a brief reading of the rest of the game’s skins, I can safely say that Nakamura’s contributions are by far the most fun Rainbow Six Siege he has never seen it.

“Because it’s an FPS, I even designed the operators’ nails carefully!” Nakamura wrote on Twitter earlier this week. “Isn’t it good to dress on the battlefield from time to time?”

Nakamura also shared some conceptual sketches of his time designing Rainbow Six Siege. At some point in the process, he even suggested wrapping Dokkaebi’s face due to the origin of the Korean operator’s name in Japanese, but admitted that this effect was probably “exaggerated.”

With a resume designed for some of the most stylish video games of all time (Okami, Bayonetta, The evil within, et al), should come as no surprise that that of Nakamura Rainbow Six Siege the skins are amazing. Here we hope that your dream of opening your own studio will come true sooner rather than later.
