GENEVA (Reuters) – The World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday it was aware of a new variant of the Covit-19 virus in the United Kingdom, but said there was no evidence that it exists differently from existing viruses.

“We know about this genetic variation in 1,000 people in the UK,” Wike’s top emergency expert Mike Ryan told a news conference in Geneva. “The authorities are noticing its importance. We have seen many types, and the virus evolves and changes over time.”
