The climb continues for the Ohio State basketball team. Just out of the top 25 spots a few weeks ago, most polls and experts now have the Buckeyes within the top five in the country and potentially put themselves in the top spot if things continue.
Almost every opinion maker out there now has the Buckeyes among the country’s elite teams, and there’s one we’ve been following for quite some time. . Last week, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello had OSU at number 9 on his weekly power ranking, which was good on its own. But now, after a road victory against Iowa, combined with some defeats by the front teams, it has now elevated Ohio State among the country’s elite teams.
Of course, it should be noted that there is still a long way to go, but there is no doubt at this point that the Buckeyes will be strong enough in the NCAA tournament where and when it is played.
