For the first time in its history, OpenCritic has issued a warning to Cyberpunk 2077 gamers who want to buy the game on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
The OpenCritic review aggregator has started showing site users a pretty inevitable warning when they start reviewing Cyberpunk 2077 review scores.
An official statement issued by the site at the top of Cyberpunk 2077’s OpenCritic page says, “This game has significant disparities in performance, player experience and review scores between PC versions, next-generation consoles, Xbox One and PS4.
“The OpenCritic team and several critics suspect that the developer, CD Projekt Red, intentionally tried to hide the true state of the game on Xbox One and PS4, with requirements such as only allowing pre-rendered game images in reviews and do not issue revision copies for PS4 and Xbox One versions “.
It looks like OpenCritic intends to keep the warning fixed on the page until February 2021, when the developer has stated that it will begin deploying PS4 and Xbox One patches aimed at improving the state of the game.
Review copies of the Cyberpunk 2077 console were only offered after the PC version of the game reviews came out, and some gamers believe they were deceived in their decision to buy the game on slot machines. latest generation.
Based on its eight million pre-orders and the impressive feat of recouping development and marketing costs, in addition to getting the fastest-selling PC game of all time, it’s safe to say that the game’s reception until it has now been mixed.
