Our PS5 and PS4 predictions for PlayStation Showcase 2021: feature

Our PS5 and PS4 predictions for PlayStation Showcase 2021 feature 1

You don’t know how much we wanted to write this feature – Sony has finally confirmed its big gaming showcase for Thursday and we have predictions to share. The Push Square editorial team has come together to reveal two predictions: one with a somewhat realistic chance of happening and another based on dreams rather than reality. These are the PS5, PS4 games we look forward to and look forward to during this week’s PlayStation Showcase 2021.

Realistic prediction: Finally, the multiplayer game The Last of Us by Naughty Dog will be revealed

Surely it’s time to upgrade to Naughty Dog’s online multiplayer game? It’s been more than a year since The Last of Us: Part 2 was released, and the company has aggressively hired for the online referral of the franchise ever since. While I’ve been patiently waiting for this game, I think it’s finally time to take a look at what the developer has planned; he recently said he wants to do a “cinematic experience between players.” Outside of Gran Turismo Sport and MLB The Show, it’s been a while since Sony released a successful multiplayer game, so I’m predicting and hoping we can try what has been cooking behind the scenes.

Dream Prediction: Sammy wants more than we already know

He’ll probably be a cop, and I can already feel the deadly look in my classmates ’eyes staring at me, but I just want him to surprise me. It’s been a year since the last PlayStation press conference, and while I’m enjoying my games right now, I feel like the industry has become very obsolete by 2021 overall. I understand that Sony wants to announce games much later in its cycle now, but if this event focuses heavily on projects we already know, I think it will disappoint me. We are approaching the anniversary of the launch of the PS5 and I think it is important that Sony is able to surprise us with amounts known as God of War: Ragnarok, but also to surprise us with projects that we never saw coming.

Realistic prediction: Sony will announce new PS Plus incentives

If you look at recent reports, Sony has been thinking about how to add value to its subscription services, particularly PlayStation Plus. It could be argued that Plus has needed some revision for a while and that this event could be the place to make any possible adjustments a reality. That said, I don’t think Sony will implement general changes in its entirety, but I can see that it announces additions or alterations. It is enough to sweeten the offer and update the service as we move towards the PS5 generation itself.

Dream Prediction: Final Fantasy XVI reaches the release date of March 2022

Final Fantasy XVI is probably the most exciting I’ve had for a new Final Fantasy game in a decade or so, and that’s because the proven talent of Final Fantasy XIV is at the forefront. If we get anything in Final Fantasy XVI at the Sony event, I’ll be happy, but the dream is for Square Enix to finally get rid of the memes and actually release a video game on time. Interestingly, this concept may not be so far-fetched. Recently, Square Enix has said that the next time we see Final Fantasy XVI, it will be a much closer release. Also, supposedly, the game has been in development for years, and it is apparently arriving earlier than people think. March 2022, girl! Believe it!

Realistic prediction: The PS5 version of GTA V will finally show up

Last June, Sony and Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto V, initially a PS3 game starting in 2013, will be expanded and improved this year on PS5. True: a second remaster of a game that is approaching a decade. I’m being a little cheerful; GTA V is obviously a very popular game, thanks in part to GTA Online, so it makes sense to keep this train rolling. I think it’s quite reasonable to expect the PS5 version to appear in one form or another during PlayStation Showcase 2021.

Dream prediction: MotorStorm, Baby

As for what I’d like to see (but probably won’t), right now I’m looking forward to MotorStorm. Come back, Sony. Whether it’s a remaster or a new entry, I just want to be in that space again. Extreme off-road racing with mixed vehicle classes, arcade driving and dizzying speed – it’s a lot of fun. With the grunt of PS5 and the awesome features of DualSense, you might as well look and feel awesome. Evolution studios might have disappeared, but MotorStorm still has opportunities. Please?

Realistic prediction: Gran Turismo July Share a new game and a tight release window

This week I am a simple man: show me Gran Turismo 7 and I am happy. I grew obsessed with the PS1 and PS2 inputs, and since Gran Turismo Sport took the racing series in a slightly different direction, I’m looking forward to the seventh installment of the main line going back to its roots. Give me these events. Give me these endurance races. I want to see them all in a new game trailer focused on both driving and how events are handled on the menus. Then end the presentation with a launch window. I don’t expect an exact date, but I would appreciate a specific month to wait.

Dream prediction: Metal Gear Solid Remake Developed by Bluepoint Games

Five minutes to the end of the PlayStation Showcase and Jim Ryan reveals himself, taking center stage. “Thank you for joining us for our latest look at the future of PlayStation 5. Your passion drives us to deliver the most cutting-edge titles, combining new ways to interact with the best games in your class. From everyone here on PlayStation, thank you for your support. Now, let me leave you with something more. “

It’s a remake of Bluepoint Games’ Metal Gear Solid. We see Shadow Moses. We see Ocelot, Otacon and Solid Snake Revolver from various scenes throughout the game. It is aimed at a release in late 2022. A shared PlayStation blog post shortly after the showcase clarifies that Sony has acquired Bluepoint Games.
