If the Green Bay Packers defense is going to find a way to help this team make the Super Bowl, players like Sandon Sullivan and Roshan Carey must make definite contributions to the extension. However, in Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions, those two players were rarely seen in the second half.
Sullivan played 33 snaps at Ford Field on Sunday, his lowest since the eighth week and the third lowest in any sport of all season. Similarly, 19 photos of Carrie were more than the other two games this year, and both of those matches saw him deal with injuries.
The fact that Gary didn’t come to the defense in the second half came without any explanation from the Packers, but Sullivan explained very easily. The latter seemed to be based on performance, as he struggled to hide Lions recipients for much of the game. Quality and improved coverage figures later this week should tell his story even better, but for now, the Bakers need their young slot corner to move his game forward, especially as a talented Panthers gets soldiers on the deck next week.
Take a look at the playing time numbers from Sunday’s 31-24 win in Detroit.

Quarterbacks
Aaron Rodgers67
It remains to be seen whether or not Rodgers is truly in the lead for the MVP Award, but he should definitely be on this writer’s mind. He is a NFL player in Touch Down Pass, Touch Down Pass Rate, AN / A, Passer Assessment and QBR. This week, when the Mahomes threw three interceptions and helped the Chiefs into the opening hole they should have left, Rodgers never put the Packers in a difficult position and turned the football around.
It was another exceptionally efficient day for Rodgers at Ford Field as he finished 26 of 33 passes (sixth game over 70 per cent) for 290 yards and three touchdowns. It is now four straight with three passing scores and three straight with a passer rating above 125. Rodgers then added his second quickest score, a six-yarder, to further increase his lead in total touchdowns.
Running back
Aaron Jones 47, Jamal Williams20
The Packers-run game was nothing short of explosive on Sunday, but in the second half the duo began to find room to run a little. Jones averaged 69 yards, 4.6-yards at 15 carats, but was 11 yards long. He caught two of the three pass goals for six yards. Williams added 38 yards in ten innings and was not targeted in the passing game.
Wide recipients
Downton Adams 62, Marquez Waldes-Scandling 47, Alan Lazard 46, Equanimous St. Brown 17, Daven Austin 4, Juan Winfrey 1
Adams and MVS deserve to split the headlines for this game. Adams’ early big play, a back-shoulder pass he turned into a 56-yard touchdown, and the seven catches he took for 115 yards led the team.
However, MVS had a pro as a whole game, capturing all six of his goals for 85 runs. The Touchdown c he competed in in the second quarter was a matter of beauty, and he was smooth and comfortable running a full-fledged path tree on Sunday. If this version of MVS were shown consistently in the last three weeks of the year and in the playoffs, the Packers ’offense might well and truly be unstoppable.
Lazard caught two of the three goals for a quiet day, 19 yards. St. Brown initially received a large 15-yard welcome, while Austin worked slowly to the offense, though he caught two passes in his four photos for eight yards.
Tight results
Robert Tonion 41, Mercedes Louis 38, Dominic Daphne 12
Another game, another touchdown for Tony, he scored up to nine in the season and quietly in four straight games. In this match he was targeted as a short-range possession recipient, and he converted a final third, which allowed the Packers to kneel clockwise late in the game. He finished with five catches on five goals for 36 yards, and he still has a stunning catch rate of 88.5 percent.
Lewis had a welcome of six yards, while Daphne was primarily used as a run-blocker from the H-back position. He had some good blocks at the start, but Austin missed a big one at Bryant, which went to loss.
Dangerous lineman
David Bakhtiar 67, Lucas Patrick 67, Elkton Jenkins 67, Billy Turner 67, Rick Wagner 67
The Packers line was stuck with the same unit that rolled against the Eagles last week, and Rodgers never took a job again. He had a big win late in the game, however, and was very embarrassed after being pushed into the ground.
However, some fines were imposed on the unit on Sunday, however, Patrick was flagged for possession, and Bakhtiar and Jenkins each had incorrect starts. While the clock was ticking, Buck came into a play that moved as soon as it hit zero, but moved just before the break, while Jenkins Mason Crosby’s late field goal attempt took place. It turned from 52 yards to 57, but Crosby somehow punched it in and lifted the Packers by ten points late in the game.
DEENSE (68 total plays)
Defensive lineman
Kenny Clark 56, Kingsley KK 36, Dean Lori 34, Tyler Lancaster 19
December Kenny Clark arrives. Fifth Anniversary Block released its second work of the season on Sunday and picked up four singles because it looks like he’s directing it for a big late season drive. Lori had an excellent two-play scene where he was sent off by a blocker to deal with a narrow profit on a runner, and then the next moment Matthew Stafford was fired from his ten-yard job. KK had the most time playing any sport in his young life, recording a win and pass breakup at Stafford.
Outside the linebackers
Sa Darius Smith 59, Preston Smith 56, Roshan Gary 19, Randy Ramsay 9
Gary had a strong start to the game with a dismissal in the first half, but not much if not all in the second half. His potential injury situation will be monitored this week. Others on the edge seemed to have a quiet game, with Preston Smith recording two blocks (with an offside call against him) and Sa Darius landing only one entry on the state sheet: a pass break. Ramsay’s only notable play was Illegal Face to Face.
Inside the linebackers
Christian Kirksey 46, Chris Barnes 40, Kamal Martin 12, Oren Burkes 2
For the first time this year, a healthy Kirksey did not play every second, instead giving Barnes some game time. It was shown in the statistics that Kirksey had just four blocks, less than a season in a game where he was uninjured. Barnes had three separate stops, one assist for Martin and a big win at Stafford.
Protections
Adrian Amos 68, Dornell Savage 68, Will Redmond 44, Vernon Scott 16
Packers defenses continue to improve as the season goes on. Savage recorded his first career saga on Sunday, while tackling the team with a professional top eight. Amos had seven stops of his own, including the biggest deal for a loss on a swing pass and a pass break.
In the absence of Raven Green, the Packers returned to Redmond as a two-to-one hybrid linebacker / security / slot corner. He finished with two blocks and it will be interesting to see how he looks in the coverage figures later this week. Scott had a nice, concise, performance that was destroyed by a penalty and a solo block with the pass section of a play.
Cornerbacks
Jair Alexander 66, Kevin King 66, Sandon Sullivan 33
With the Lions picking up Sullivan for most of the first half, the Bakers decided to keep him off the field late, instead going to Nickel with Redmond. Meanwhile, Alexander had three blocks and a pass break and continued his All-Pro level play. King was frequently targeted and finished the game with five individual skills.
Leaders of special groups
Burkes 20, Redmond 20, Die Summers 20, Ramsay 18, Vs. Scott 13, Winfrey 11
Let’s give Mason Crosby a quick shout out to save another potential revenue touch. His 57-yard field goal came immediately following – one yard less to elevate his career – when he found Jamal Agnew to the left and knocked him out of bounds in the 33-yard line, forcing the Lions to drive a point and taking some time off the clock when he was ten points down Make.
