Pascal Nadaud tells what motivated him to count on his child abuse

Mexico City /

Pascal Nadaud is the latest expelled from the reality show “Exathlon”, an exit that surprised everyone, but that led him to start the release of the stormy childhood he lived, After revealing why he decided to break the silence regarding the sexual abuse and suicide attempt who lived for several years.

In interview by Half time, the former captain of the Mexican Rugby Team he revealed the main reason that led him to share the painful childhood he had between the ages of six and 10.

“It’s funny, because I have an image that is very different from the person I am, people believe that because of the sport, the jobs I’ve had, they already see me as a successful person, they believe that success comes from a family that supports you, but no.I opened up, and I decided it was time to trust me and start healing everything I have inside, because every time I speak I feel that I am improving, I channel it in a better way, ”he expressed to Mediotiempo.

For Pascal the exact time to speak was this, as the Exathlon it goes beyond a circuit on the beach, as it is the power of projection that gives television with such a successful program with it.

“A lot of people have approached me, I’ve gotten phone calls from people who have known me since I was a kid, they’re things I hadn’t talked about and outsourcing makes people pay attention because I was making decisions when I was younger like moving away -me of the people in my family, etc., this is helping me, but the ultimate goal is to be able to do something more for other people“Because we are in such a rotten society, where it is difficult to tell the truth, they are not prepared for people to be direct, to be real.”

“We are all human, many times people believe that athletes do not suffer, that they have an easier life, but everyone has suffered and that this suffering or pain, leads you to do things and get the best out of profits,” he said. the athlete, who with his story seeks change.

How Pascal handled abuse in his childhood

The events took place in Manzanillo when she was just a child and she lived with her grandmother and her partner, an Italian with alcohol problems and who sexually abused Pascal when he was just six years old.

“I was escaping, I was going out and I was disappearing for hours, I was going for a walk, I didn’t like being at home. I don’t remember well how I dealt with the pain, it’s something you block out of your head, I just remember I didn’t want to be there, I didn’t feel comfortable, I was scared to hear my grandmother’s car coming, I was running away and coming back hours later, they knew I was going to come back sometime, I never Fortunately nothing serious happened, but everything changed when I arrived in the city, here I found refuge in other houses“They hugged me because they saw a vulnerable, shy child who needed love and they gave it to me even though no one knew what I was going through so far,” said the athlete, who also explained that his mother abandoned with her grandmother, she is currently in a psychiatric ward and does not have a good relationship.

Rugby, the plan that is still present

Although he will now seek to enjoy the beach and the rest of the world, Pascal plans to travel and relax, but also to treat himself a discomfort in his back that afflicts him and by which also decided to get out of reality as he did. If the injury allows it he will return to the sport he once thought he was not going to like because of the strong contacts there are.

He also revealed that his generation was a very strong bet, however they lacked new talent to continue to drive rugby in Mexico

“There came a time when the Selection was very strong and we pushed the one that was above us, but there was a very strong drop in level in the team and there were also problems with CONADE, in terms of money and these issues that are already known, the support went down, right now I’m not in the hundred, I don’t know how the level is, or what about rugby in Mexico, I don’t know if I’ll play again with the injury that I have on my back, ”he further explained that he would like to resume the nationwide program where he taught rugby training with ribbons and that he did not continue due to lack of resources.

Corruption in government, the enemy of sport

“The problem is that there are so many sports and limited resources, but there should be no war between federations, the problem is corruption in the country, we are aware that all resources go where they shouldn’t go and sport, education and culture are the ones that should be focused more and are the ones that invest the least, I think it comes even higher than CONADE, it comes from a government issue. We have to generate better Mexicans who don’t want to steal everything in front of you when you have a good place, ”Nadaud added.
