The General Directorate of Passports (DGP) extended from Monday the service hours at the headquarters, Santiago, megacentro and Sambil.
The general director of Passports, Néstor Julio Cruz Pichardo, said that with the measure they seek to reduce the time of appointments for citizens who require the travel document. They also increased the number of daily appointments to 600.
He said that in the headquarters, megacentro and Santiago will be working from 8:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the afternoon, while in Sambil it will be until 8:00 at night.
In this regard, Cruz Pichardo indicated that the doors to the headquarters, Santiago and megacentro will be closed to the public from 5:00 pm, while in Sambil will be from 7:00.
The official said that with the extension of the schedule, the aim is to allow citizens who need their passport so that they can make their appointment with less time and avoid that in the high seasons there may be some inconveniences that affect the citizens.
