Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia decrees three days of mourning after the murder of three policemen

Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia has decreed today, Tuesday, three days of mourning in memory of the three police officers who were killed yesterday while on duty in Carolina.

State police officer Luis Marrero Díaz, and Carolina city officials Luis Salaman Conde and Eliezer Hernández Cartagena died at the hospital after receiving several bullet impacts during a chase.

“I deeply regret the pain that the relatives of these three heroes who were killed while fulfilling their duty to protect the lives of everyone on our Island are suffering.
