Pedro Troglio confesses: his assessment of the Honduran team, the trouble with Diego Vazquez and the future of Benguché – Ten

the Olympics of Pedro Troglio had a hesitant start, but quickly straightened the course of his team and is currently the leader of the Inaugural tournament with 11 units.

The helmsman of the meringue box has been given some time to talk to the Heel Football program, where he valued his stay in the meringue box, where he also took the opportunity to analyze the path of the Selection of Honduras for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The helmsman of the Lions also assured the goal that has been set this season and the pact he has made with Jorge Benguché.

Does Olimpia have the tournament they were waiting for?

One doesn’t expect not to win three games, one always wants to be first, but I know it’s a tough semester for us.

How do you assimilate your loved one and have adversaries?

That opponents don’t want me doesn’t matter, it’s normal that they don’t love you or maybe in intimacy they speak well, but on the court they are going to insult and criticize you on social media. It hurts me that a critique of the club fan is coming. Where I go I don’t find so much antipathy.

Will there be an opportunity to see more young people at the Olympics?

The next match will be Jared Velásquez, a guy who had a nice appearance the other day and goes from start to finish. I have others who have played less. I have four or five young people, but I don’t like boys speeding up the process, but you have to do it for them to add up the minutes.

Does the Olimpia shirt that needs to be prepared for each young person who will make his debut weigh?

With respect to some teams, but it is not the same to debut in some teams that there is no pressure to play in Olympia. Here you tie two games and people are insulting you, annoying you and by the way you have to put a 17 year old guy to add minutes. It happened to me last year with Josman Figueroa, he’s the guy who added minutes and we had to speed him up. Olimpia does not give you the same peace as other teams, here is madness.

Do you disagree with this sum of minutes?

I don’t agree with the minute pond, you have to look at the world and see where it exists and it almost doesn’t exist anywhere: it’s in Argentina and elsewhere, but little. I made my debut at 17, but I proved I had conditions and in this case we have to speed up for them to add minutes.

Which clue is the most complicated?

There’s one place we’ve never lost since it’s been my turn to be, but I think it’s the hardest, it’s Tocoa. One day I left the hotel and it looked like it was burning my face. Not to mention going to San Pedro Sula in the Morazán, Yankel, but the long journey, the heat and the schedule that the matches put on you. If it’s Olympia, they put it on at 2:00 p.m.

Are Motagua, Real España and Marathón still the most difficult rivals?

Since I arrived I have always said that the three most difficult in the fight were: Real España, Marathón and Motagua and they are the three with whom we have reached the finals and they have complicated us. Today I notice the most difficult Honduran football I found in 2019, the teams have changed their way of playing. Real Spain is much better, Marathon has improved, but Vargas was tough, had a bad semester, it was a tough team and Motagua not to mention and we are very even. There is also the Platense with Primitive, but it is very good Wolves and Life.

Is the team they want to beat Olympia?

I notice that the teams play us differently to how they played me when I arrived. Today I feel like they are waiting for us with a block of 10 players and on their own court and that is very hard to break. Barcelona itself is being pushed back and it costs because the Honduran courts are not helping the ball to run fast either.

How is your off-track relationship with Diego Vazquez?

Once we were at a luncheon at the Argentine embassy and we always had a good relationship, but I didn’t like his last attitude of blaming me for what happened in the United States, he said I had kicked him and I didn’t like him lying and saying that I set him up. He had a good gesture when my father died and I valued that gesture very much. Then he does his business, he knows Honduras better than I do, he knows what sells this story of fighting with everyone: players, coaches and he has given results because he works, he has become champion, he is talked about. I may be otherwise and I am not who to say whether it is right or wrong.

Does the classic transform a bit?

I know two famous brothers Diego and Gabriel Milito, but in a classic Independent-Racing they ended up insulting the mother of the two, it’s amazing. Football transforms and in the classics we use passions and it is a very big load. All week long people make you feel that weight; winning is spectacular and losing is horrible and hard.

What possibilities do you see for the Honduras National Team in these qualifiers?

I think he’s doing a good job, what happens is that people demand a lot and history doesn’t tell you that you’ve always beaten him in Mexico or the United States. The team is good, has a very good litter of players and the Honduran is loyal. The new generations need to be more professional when it comes to food. In Argentina they like chorizo, but the football player can’t be eating this all the time, here the baleadas, but they can’t get up every day to eat 10 baleadas. I hope they can qualify, but they should know that they have two or three teams above and they are: United States, Mexico and Canada for economic possibilities. You can fight for third or fourth place, but always knowing how far you can go. There are good expectations of reaching the World Cup and it would be a very good leap for Honduran football.

How does Jorge Benguché see it right now?

He left for Europe when he was about to start football and had no pre-season and that cost him not having a year to play; so with this problem he went to the Olympic National Team and clearly has not had a well worked year. I told him to get in tune, lose a few pounds and get like the Benguché of 2019, it’s a big challenge we face.

Does it give you that thorn to direct any selection of the area?

Talking about Honduras is difficult because I have a friend, a great relationship with Fabián Coit and he is doing a spectacular job. I prefer to lead the day to day, get up every day at 5:00 in the morning and know that I am going to lead a team. I played a World Cup as a player and I would like to qualify and lead a team as a coach, but I don’t ask for it right away either.

Any temptation for teams to sign up?

I’ve been called quite a few teams all this time, but it’s been nothing concrete and being working, there are always codes between the leaders. It’s more possible to get something when you don’t have a team and I’m comfortable here, I hope I can give you the fourth consecutive championship in town and it would be great to stay in club history.
