Randy Malcom, Alexander Delgado, Yotuel, Descemer Bueno joined in an emotional video call with the members of the San Isidro Movement Luis Manuel Otero and Maykel Osorbo, after presenting the music video for new theme Homeland and Life.

Both Osorbo and Otero Alcántara stressed that almost all of them were black people, making art for a free Cuba, and reaffirmed that they were more connected than ever.

Before launching the video, directed by Asiel Babastro, Descemer pointed out that this was a unique moment, which will mark a before and after for Cubans.

For his part, Asiel Babastro said a government that lies to its people does not deserve to be in power. “I want to see a country of people laughing, of happy people,” the artist argued.

Alexander Delgado pointed out that the song reflects the feelings of many Cubans outside and inside the island, of many who are afraid to express themselves as they once had.

He also wanted to make it clear that they are not funded by anyone and that it is a song addressed to the people of Cuba, a daily victim of police abuse and censorship.

Also, Randy Malcom thanked everyone who joined in this production, and said it is a theme that reflects the feeling of all of them.

During the video call with members of the San Isidro Movement, the Cuban government cut off telecommunications in the country.

The theme Homeland and Life promises to become an anthem for Cubans who want a change on the Island.

“You’ve already finished your five new I double two / it’s already over sixty years lock or domino,” says the return.

It also says the lyrics: “No more lies / The people ask for freedom, no more doctrine / We no longer call homeland or death but Homeland and Life.”

The song came out on February 16, and was accompanied by a newly released music video, which includes important scenes from recent times in Cuba.
