Phil Hawes v Nassourdine Imavov is canceled

Phil Hawes ’second UFC outing has been suspended after his average weight against Nassourdine Imavov was scratched from the UFC on Saturday on the ABC 1 card.

MMA Junkie confirmed the news after an initial report from RT Sport. The first UFC wrestling card of 2021 falls from 13 to 12 fights. No reason has been given for the cancellation of the fight.

Hawes, a Dana White Contender Series graduate (9-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC), started her UFC career in a spectacular way with an 18-second tie from Jacob Malkoun to get a Performance of the Night ”at UFC 254 last October.

Everything was ready to face Russia-born Imavov (France, 9-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who also started his UFC career with a victory last year with a unanimous victory over Jordan Williams in UFC on ESPN 16, also in October.

The couple was ready to show off their skills at the prominent preliminary letter site in Abu Dhabi. But the circumstances that have not been revealed have forced the card out.

UFC on ABC 1 will take place on Saturday at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The main card is broadcast on ABC and broadcast on ESPN + after the previous steps on ESPN +.
