Farley also said clergy members are now being added to Phase 1B.
“With the resumption of services, clergy members have a high risk of acquiring or transmitting COVID infection, especially of transmitting it to the elderly,” Farley said.
As of Thursday, 402,000 first doses and 156,000 second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered throughout the city.
Farley said the supply of vaccine doses has been reduced. The city had seen an increase, but the government told officials it would not receive additional vaccines against Pfizer or Moderna over the next three weeks.
