Former Denver Broncos manager Phillip Lindsay has a new home.
Lindsay (5-8, 190 pounds) has accepted a one year agreement with the Houston Texans, his agent announced Friday night on Twitter. The contract is worth it $ 3.25 millions, according to various reports.
Lindsay was born and raised in the Denver area and played college football in Colorado. He signed with the Broncos as a college free agent in 2018 and became the first unwritten offensive rookie in NFL history to reach the Pro Bowl after running more than 1,000 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns in the his first season.
Lindsay had another 1,000-yard season in 2019, but Denver added Melvin Gordon to serve as the team’s new workhorse in 2020. Lindsay fought several injuries last season and had the worst year of the season. his run, totaling just 530 yards a touchdown.
In Houston, Lindsay will likely compete for rotating play time with David Johnson and Mark Ingram, who agreed a one-year deal with the Texans earlier this month.
